Ever loyal to his signature style, Mark Fast brought sexy back with his slinky SS18 knits and floozy fringing. It all went a little Courtney Love as he transported 1920’s flapper girls into the 21st century. Waistlines dropped all over the place whilst smudged red lips and choppy platinum bobs cemented a vamp-glamour puss stamp.

Ever loyal to his signature style, Mark Fast brought sexy back with his slinky SS18 knits and floozy fringing.

Internationally renowned for his intricate hand-crafted knitwear, Fast highlighted the intimidating level of workmanship gone into production by mixing lightweight threading with heavier weaves. Using various knitting techniques to sculpt an array of bodycon silhouettes his brand, once again, succeeded to seduce the London runway. Dresses alternated between celebrating, teasing and covering breasts as Fast proclaimed his devotion to the #freethenipple movement. One cut off at nipple-level left nothing but tassles to reach the model’s platform heels. Others contained fierce cutouts and were trimmed with feathers…with a collection as glitzy, ballsy and racy as this one, it’s not hard to see why he calls the like of Rihanna and Nicki Minaj as customers.

Mark Fast: shanté you say.

Friday night saw the designer achieve a standing ovation from his audience. Like a cherry on top, Violet Chachki popped up again during LFW to give the show a fab finale. If it hadn’t been enough before this, their appearance seemed to seal the deal for Mark Fast: shanté you say.
